Sketches from the Garden of Eden
Adam is fine by himself. He walks around eating the fruit of the garden, humming. One morning he wakes up with sore ribs and there’s a naked girl there. Adam is scared of her because he suspects she might have kicked him in his sleep.
They examine each other suspiciously, pointing out similarities and differences. As it turns out, neither of them has navels (why would they have navels?), which freaks them out, but they can’t explain why, which freaks them out even more. They try to cover the area with fig leaves, but the leaves fall off.
They experiment with ways to make the fig leaves stick. In the end they decide on mud. The mud makes them both a little itchy.
Adam likes looking at Eve, but every time he tries to do something, there’s a booming voice from the heavens. This makes him irritable. Eve has a constant bladder infection from walking around naked and sitting on rocks. This makes her irritable. To make matters worse, she gets her period. Adam hands her a fig leaf. She just looks at him.
Eve wanders off to sulk by herself. A snake starts talking to her, which freaks her out. She runs from the snake. Meanwhile, Adam is sitting under the tree of life, munching the fruit. Eve comes running by with the snake after her. Adam gets up, grabs a rock and kills the snake. They both sit down under the tree of life, munching the fruit. A booming voice comes from the heavens. They both point to the snake.
An angel with a flaming sword escorts them out of the garden. When they’re at a safe distace, Adam flips the angel the finger. Eve giggles.
